# Initiate an equity payout

As an issuer, you can initiate equity payouts to distribute returns to your token holders. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to initiate a payout:

1. Access your listing page and select the relevant asset/token
2. Navigate to the Payout tab for the selected token
3. Click the "Initiate Payout" button
4. Complete the payout details:
   1. **Payout Name:** Choose a descriptive name that clearly communicates the payout details to investors
   2. **Supporting Documents (Optional):** Upload any relevant documentation for investors
   3. **Payout Amount per Token**: Specify the USDC amount per token. <mark style="color:blue;background-color:yellow;">The system will automatically calculate the total payout amount and show the number of eligible investors.</mark>
5. Connect your wallet and approve the total payout amount

After initiating the payout:

* You can track the payout status on the Spydra platform
* Investors will see the transaction details on their investment dashboard
* All payout history and details can be viewed in the payout tracking section
